Destination :  Chennai- Mettupalayam- Mudhumalai- Bandipur- Mukurthy- Ooty- Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary- Munnar- Periyar- Kochi- Departure

Day 01 : Arrival at Chennai

The guests shall arrive at the Chennai airport for a wildlife tour in South India.  At the airport our representative shall greet you welcoming you with a Chennai itinerary constructed most meticulously according to your preference of touring wildlife in South India.  Accompanied by our representative the guests shall check- in a hotel for an overnight stay for chasing away the fatigue caused by the long journey to the place.

Day 02 : At Chennai

The guests shall proceed for a morning excursion to Vedanthagal Bird Sanctuary after breakfast at Chennai.  Escorted by our Ornithologist the guests shall be provided an opportunity for exploring the site and enjoying bird viewing for the day.  This visit shall be followed by a voyage to the railway station for boarding the train for Mettupalpyam.  The guests shall enjoy the journey on board for the night as pre- planned under their South India itinerary.

Day 03 : Arrival at Mettupalpyam- Mudumalai

On arrival at Mettupalpyam where you shall be received by our representative you shall be transferred to Mudumalai.  At Mudumalai the guests shall be accommodated in a resort nearby the wildlife sanctuary.  At the resort the guests shall take a brief time period for relaxation followed by a trek expedition through the jungles of Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary.  The guests shall spend the night at the resort for relaxation and achieving new energy for the journey ahead.

Day 04 : At Mudumalai

The day of your itinerary for South- India shall be devoted to a full day excursion of the Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary.  The park is famous for the wide population of the Gray Langur, Bonnet Macaque, Tiger, Leopard and the Golden Jackal.  The guests accompanied by a Naturalist shall explore the beauteous surroundings of the park for the entire day. 

Day 05 : Mudumalai- Bandipur- Mudumalai

The guests on the wildlife tour in South India shall be provided a full day excursion to the Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary on this day.  Bandipur National Park is one of the most renowned sanctuaries for Tiger reserve.  The guests shall enjoy a joy ride amidst the verdant surroundings followed by a journey back to Mudumalai for an overnight stay.

Day 06 : Mudumalai- Mukurthy

The morning breakfast shall be followed by an expedition to the next destination Mukurthy.  At your arrival our tour operator in Chennai shall make the proper arrangements for your stay in one of the jungle resort for an overnight stay. 

Day 07 : At Mukurthy

The day shall bring an extensive view of the stunning evergreen forest of Shola.  The view of the beauteous landscape shall be followed by an overnight stay at the hotel at Mukurthy.

Day08 : Mukurthy- Ooty

This day of your wildlife tour in South India shall advent with a drive to Ooty.  At Ooty the guests shall be accommodated in a forest resort for an overnight stay.  The entire day shall be devoted to the sightseeing tour of the hill station which shall include a visit to Botanical Gardens, Ooty Lake and Dodabetta Peak. 

Day 09 : Ooty- Annamalai

The guests shall drive to the Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary on this day.  On arrival our representative shall escort the guests to a forest resort according to their preference for an overnight stay.

Day 10 : At Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary

The lush green environs of Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary shall be the destination for this day of your south India itinerary.  The full day excursion of the sanctuary can be enjoyed with an elephant ride.  The guests shall spend the night at the resort near the wildlife sanctuary.

Day 11 : At Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary

The guests shall be provided another day for enjoying the extensive environs of the Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary.  The day shall be devoted to a trip to Anagundi and Varagaliarrain forests which shall be followed by an overnight stay at Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary.

Day 12 : At Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary

This day shall include a full day excursion to the nearby Parambikulam wildlife sanctuary.  The guests shall spend the night at the Annamalai wildlife sanctuary for the night’s stay.

Day 13 : Annamalai Wildlife Sanctuary- Munnar

This day on your wildlife tour in south India shall include a drive to Munnar.  On the way the guests shall make a quick visit to the Chinnar sanctuary.  At Munnar guests shall escorted to the hotel previously booked for an overnight stay at Munnar. 

Day 14 : Munnar- Periyar

The guests shall now take a trip to the next destination of your Chennai itinerary, Periyar wildlife sanctuary.  The morning trip to Periyar shall bequeath the guests with fatigue and hence, they immediately shall be transferred to the hotel previously booked for an overnight stay at Periyar.

Day 15 : At Periyar

The guests shall be provided an opportunity for exploring the scenic Periyar wildlife sanctuary.  The morning boat ride in Periyar Lake shall be a tranquilizing experience and shall also provide an opportunity for viewing the elephants from close quarters.  The overnight stay shall be provided at the Periyar resort previously booked. 

Day 16 : Periyar- Kochi- Departure

The guests shall drive to Kochi on the final day of their Chennai itinerary.  The guests shall be escorted to the Kochi airport from where they shall board the flight back home.
