Destination :  Chennai- Mahabalipuram- Pondicherry- Thanjavur- Trichy- Madurai- Periyar- Kovalam- Kumarakom- Kochi- Banglore- Mysore- Hassan- Halebid- Belur

Duration :  19 Nights/ 20 Days

Day 01: Arrival at Chennai

The guests shall arrive at the Chennai airports where they shall find our representative awaiting them with an itinerary for their grand South India tours.  Escorted by our representative the guests shall be transferred to their hotel as pre- planned under your Chennai itinerary.

Day 02: Chennai- Mahabalipuram

The itinerary for South- India then shall transfer you to Mahabalipuram via road.  The short journey shall include an en- route visit to the famous temple town of Kanchipuram and its tourist destinations.  At Mahabalipuram the guests shall be escorted to the hotel booked previously.  The evening shall be concluded with for a leisurely walk at the beauteous beach of Mahabalipuram.

Day 03: Mahabalipuram- Pondicherry

The guests shall proceed to Pondicherry on this day of South- India tours.  The breakfast at hotel shall be followed by a voyage to Pondicherry where the guests shall be accommodated in the hotel booked previously by our tour operator in Chennai.  The guests then shall pay brief visit to the nearby Aurobindo Ashram and Museum which shall be followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Pondicherry- Thanjavur

Post- breakfast your tour to South- India shall take you to the next destination Thanjavur.  At Thanjavur the guests shall check- into a hotel of their choice where post- lunch they shall be provided a half- day sightseeing tour of the city.  This tour shall encompass Brihadeshwara Fort and Temple also Thanjavur Palace and Museum. 

Day 05: Thanjavur- Trichy

Your grand South India tours shall proceed to Trichy.  The morning drive to Trichy shall be followed by accommodating in one of the hotels in Trichy.  At Trichy you shall be provided half day for sightseeing at Srirangam Temple and Jambukeshwara Temple.  In the evening the guests shall retire for a night stay at their hotel.

Day 06: Trichy- Madurai

You shall commence to Madurai on the morning of the sixth day of your grand South- India tours.  The road trip to the temple town, Madurai shall bequeath the guests with fatigue and hence, the rest of the day shall be free for leisure and relaxation in the hotel where they shall stay for the night.

Day 07: Madurai

The day shall be devoted to sightseeing tour of the city which shall include a visit to the exquisite Meenakshi Temple and Tirumalai Nayak Palace.  In the evening the guests shall return to the hotel where they shall be provided a sumptuous dinner and accommodation for night.

Day 08: Madurai- Periyar

On this day the guests shall proceed to Periyar via road.  The morning drive to Periyar shall surely be a pleasing experience at arrival they shall check- in the hotel booked previously.  A soothing boat ride at the scenic Periyar Lake at noon lies next which shall be followed by a comfortable stay at the hotel for night.

Day 09: Periyar- Trivandrum- Kovalam

The beauteous town of backwaters shall be the next stopover in your South- India tour.  The illustrious journey to Kovalam shall bring an opportunity to visit Trivandrum on the way.  The guests shall be provided a short sightseeing tour of the city and then shall regain the journey to Kovalam.  At Kovalam the guests shall be accommodated in the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10: At Kovalam

The entire day shall be devoted to leisure activities at the golden Kovalam beaches.  The guests shall be provided a night stay at the Kovalam hotel/ resort.

Day 11: Kovalam- Kumarakom

 This day shall include a morning tour to the beauteous city of backwaters, Kumarakom by a road journey.  At Kumarakom the guests shall embark on a houseboat which shall provide them an illustrious cruise to Kumarakom.  The guests shall be transferred to a hotel at Kumarakom where they shall stay for the night.

Day 12: Kumarakom

The day shall be devoted to a visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary.  The early morning shall be the right time for excursion in the Sanctuary.  The guests shall spend the evening at leisure at the hotel.

Day 13: Kumarakom- Kochi

The port city Kochi is the next destination at your grand South- India tours.  The trip to Kochi shall be a joy ride as the guests shall encompass half the distance with a backwater cruise to Alleppey.  At Alleppey the guests shall drive to Kochi where they shall stay in a hotel for an overnight stay. 

Day 14: Kochi

This day shall include a thorough sightseeing tour of the city.  The guests shall commence for a visit to the tourist destinations post- breakfast this visit shall include Fort Kochi, St. Francis Church and Chinese Fishing Nets. 

Day 15: Kochi- Bangalore- Mysore

The morning voyage shall take you to the Kochi airport from where you shall board the flight to Bangalore.  At the Bangalore airport our representative shall receive you making all the pre- arrangements for your journey ahead to Mysore.  At Mysore the guests shall be accommodated at the hotel for a night stay.

Day 16: Mysore

The morning at Mysore shall advent with a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel followed by a sightseeing tour of the city.  The morning tour to the city shall include a visit to the majestic Maharaja’s Palace, Chamundi Hills and to Somnathpur.  The evening shall include a visit to the beauteous Brindavan Garden and thereafter retire to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 17: Mysore- Belur- Halebid- Hassan

On this day the guests shall depart for a sightseeing tour to Belur and Halebid.  The morning drive shall transfer the guests finally to Hassan after paying a short sightseeing tour of Belur and Halebid. At Hassan the guests shall check- in a hotel where they shall stay for the night.

Day 18: Hassan- Shravanbelgola- Bangalore

The journey shall resume on this day as they guests shall depart for the next destination, Bangalore by road.  The guests shall pay a visit to Shravanbelgola on the way which includes a visit to the Jain shrine.  Thereafter the guests shall be transferred to Banglore where they shall check- into the hotel and consume a sumptuous lunch.  The rest of the day shall be devoted to a tour of Vidhan Saudha, Nandi Temple and Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens at Bangalore.

Day 19: Bangalore- Mumbai

The morning at Bangalore shall bring a journey to the airport to board an onward flight to Mumbai.  At Mumbai the escorted by one of our representative the guests shall check- in a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 20: Mumbai Departure

The final day of your Grand South India Tour shall conclude with a journey to Mumbai airport.  At airport our representative shall make all the arrangements for your convenient and comfortable flight back home.
